Option 1: In the app (instant)
- Open GameBag and go to your Profile.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Enter your password and confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2: By email
If you can't access the app, email support@gamebagusa.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my GameBag account" and include your username. We'll confirm the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: name, username, email, password hash, bio, home state, and profile photo
- All of your hunt and catch logs, including their photos and species records
- Your comments and likes, and the comments and likes on your hunts
- Your friend connections and friend requests
- Clubs you own (including their membership lists and join requests), and your membership in other clubs
- Your slam progress, notifications, notification settings, and push notification tokens
- Password reset records
What may be kept, and for how long
- Residual copies in encrypted database backups, which are overwritten on a rolling basis within about 35 days
- Anonymous crash and diagnostic data that isn't linked to your account (kept under our diagnostics provider's retention period)
- Short-lived server security logs, such as IP address and request time
- Anything we're legally required to keep
Deletion can't be undone. To use GameBag again, you'll need to create a new account.
